Painted head.

I had not posted this even though I did it months ago because it was too embarrassing haha. I can't make lines straight with a paintbrush at all. I tried cutting a brush smaller this time and that was a total failure because then instead of just being too thick they were crooked too! After I had a couple shoot random directions on the eyebrows I was just like WHATEVER and made them go everywhere. XD I will practice control with a brush for a while or maybe just give the watercolor pencils another shot.

New Chair

They had a couple of wicker doll chairs at goodwill. I got the plain one for $2. My mom wanted me to get the one for $4 that someone had glued pink satin, fake pearls, plastic roses, and lace to the chair but I opted for the non-girly one so everyone could use it. It's actually too big for my MSDs and would probably fit an SD doll instead. I can stick two of them in there together. :D It's still cute though and for $2 it's worth the price...

Luts salgoo Kid delf girl posing (WARNING: image heavy, 40 images)

The lovely Angela (luts salgoo).

Someone on den of angels requested pictures of her posing and I got a little too into it and took about 200 pictures... I did all the poses I could think of at the moment. I forgot to take one of her on her knees in seiza, she CAN sit that way although there are large gaps in the knees since they are not double jointed. If anyone thinks of any poses to add let me know and I'll go for it. She has not been sueded or restrung, and she does not have kips. I only did poses she will easily hold and did not try to do any balancing games with her (for example standing on one leg or bending over far while standing is difficult for her). I only adjusted the colors for the first image...there were just too many to do them all quickly.

Some notes about posing:
-Her head can look up more on the left than the right. Compared to my soom doll the head has way more of a range of motion.
-The arms pose really well but the shoulders have problems holding the arms at certain angles, if you add a kip into the shoulder it helps a lot, I did that with my kdelf boy. My soom doll comparatively has a lot of trouble with his arms posing because the elbow joint is terrible.
-The girls pose a little better than the boys because they have an extra swivel joint at the top of the thighs. It also takes me a couple seconds longer to balance them standing because of this, one more thing to adjust.
-Her arm CAN reach up to touch her face. I forgot to take any pictures where the elbow piece snaps out to bend her arm in more.

Just pondering.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with the money I have saved for dolly stuff first. Do I want...
This one...

...or this one.

Or do I want to order a bigger doll/body so this fellow (luts summer 2012) who is pending face-up is not doomed to an eternity of floating head-ness. I have another floating head too (luts winter 2011) but I'm not attached to it at all and am using it to practice painting the faces.

I finally reordered the painting supplies I need to attempt painting it again. I had to give them away when I moved from Japan because of shipping restrictions. A big thank you to my brother and sister who gave me the amazon giftcards I used to order the sealant and stuff. I'm kind of excited to give it another shot even though the first time was a total failure. XD

Merry Christmas

I was hoping that if I waited for the daylight I would be able to get good light but alas it was raining. I probably should have carted the lamp I've been using at night down the stairs since it helps a lot. XD My mother has the cutest Christmas props.
